A NEW Accès Condos accredited project close to the Frontenac metro station in 2021

The Ville de Montréal has just approved the start of the Frontenac real estate project, a large-scale project that includes the construction of nearly 300 housing units, of which one third will be Accès Condos accredited, just minutes from the Frontenac metro station, several bus routes, a Maison de la culture and local shops, in the Ville-Marie borough.

The Accès Condos project, whose name has not yet been announced, will have a total of 109 units – of which a majority will have two bedrooms and more – an underground parking and spaces for bicycles.

To be built on a 54,200 sq. ft. lot bounded by Du Havre, La Fontaine and Frontenac streets, the Complexe immobilier Frontenac will have four sections. In addition to the Accès Condos accredited building, there will be a 60-unit community building, a 129-unit private project and 25,700 square feet of office space on the roof of which green spaces will be laid out.

“The SHDM’s expertise in Responsible Property Investment takes on its full meaning with this ambitious project, which is an innovative response to the objectives of the Ville de Montréal and the STM with regard to housing, urban planning and sustainable mobility. By combining our know-how with that of our partners to develop a winning business model for all involved, the SHDM meets the needs of Montréal families in terms of housing and access to home ownership, in addition to significantly exceeding the Ville de Montréal’s targets with a 57% ratio of affordable and social housing,” said Nancy Shoiry Executive Director of the SHDM.

The architectural concept is signed by the firm Lemay and the project will be carried out by the developer Cosoltec inc. Construction is expected to begin in 2019 and to be completed in 2021. Accredited Accès Condos units are expected to go for sale a few months before delivery in the course of 2020.
